Dignity British Shorthairs Reports & Reviews (5)

I searched for a British shorthair cat and came across this company that seemed very legit. I emailed them about a particular cat and was very excited by their fast response. To my surprise, it was, in fact, a SCAM. They texted to confirm if I had received an email about the kitten. All communication ended after answering the person's questions ( name, address) and sending $645 to secure the cat via Zelle ( Shipping included). I asked to video chat, and no response. They informed me that they have to register the kitten for shipping and will have the company send tracking information shortly after. After a few days and no response, I was pretty sure it was a scam. I asked my close friend to go on their website and purchase the same kitten ( he was still showing as available on their site). She requested the same cat, and they told her he was still open and walked her through the same process to purchase. This is extremely cruel! BE AWARE. The person's name is DEMARCUS QUINNEY, to who I sent the Zelle info, and I'm sure have been communicating via email and text. The company is Bella British shorthair cats & kittens.

First, get in touch with the cat house on the website and communicate the kitten's status and how to pay on email. When the full payment of $650 is paid, the seller will send the kitten the next day. When I asked when to pick up the cat at the airport the next day, the seller told me that an express company will contact me. Soon I received a call from the express company, But the other party's accent was not pure English, which was a little strange. Then the express company told me that because of the weather, I needed to pay a rent of $960 to rent an electronic crate for my kitten to keep the kitten warm. After reading it, I transferred the money to the express company. When the transfer was successful, the express company sent me an email saying that I needed to buy the kitten's insurance on the plane, At this time, I thought something was wrong. If there were these fees, why didn't they say them together at the beginning, but separated them again and again? Obviously, this is the trick of a liar. When you were trapped, you want to cheat more money. When I felt cheated, I immediately refunded to the cat house, but the cat house didn't refund, and now I haven't replied. I hope I can give you a reference, The online website control is too poor. I see that other buyers complain that the website is still operating to defraud money

I purchased a British Short Hair Kitten. I was told that they only accept Zelle and Bitcoin. I gave them $350 through Zelle and $350 in Bitcoin.
The day of shipment I was told that I need to rent and insulated carrier for 900 and would be reimbursed with cash at delivery.
Anita (owner) offered to spilt the rental cost. So I sent another $500 in Bitcoin. I was very upset but believed them.
Last I received another email asking for $1000 in pet insurance and the cat was waiting at the airport and must be paid.
I refused and told them to cancel my order. I haven't heard a word from the seller (Anita) or the shipper.

I e-mailed this breeder inquiring more information about one of their kittens, since they didn't have much info about their price and where they were located. But they immediately e-mailed me back asking for more info about myself, which raised a red flag. And I'm glad that I did some research after and searched "Dignity British Shorthairs reviews" and found out that it was a scam. I'm surprised that the website is still up despite the scam reviews. I'm worried that more people will fall victim to this website.

I reached out to the company to purchase a kitten. I found them via a google search for British Shorthair breeders. They have a very nice website with testimonials from satisfied customers. All communication was done via email and they were very prompt with their responses. I was concerned about having a kitten flown halfway across the country, but the website said, and they confirmed by email that the kitten would fly Delta or United and fly in the cabin with a person whose job it was to transport animals. All the costs for the flight/shipping of the kitten were included in the $600. I confirmed this via email. I paid they company the $600 via Zelle. Flight arrangements were made and I received an email from a company called Universal Mail Post. They were requiring $960 deposit for a temperature controlled crate, which was to be refunded when I picked up the kitten. They needed the money right away for the kitten to be shipped. (I am also placing a scam alert for this company). I was working at the time all this communication was going on, I work in an Emergency Room and we were extremely busy. I had reservations, but also really just wanted to get the kitten, so I paid the $960, also paid via Zelle. However, their first choice of payment was via Bitcoin, which I was not comfortable with, but I thought maybe that was more common in California. I was starting to feel very uneasy with the whole experience and expressed my concerns via email to the breeder. I received reassurance. Then I got a second email from Universal Mail Post stating that now I needed to pay an additional $1650 for insurance for the kitten, which would also be refunded when I picked up the kitten. This was too much, when I got home from my shift I emailed the breeder and told them that I was no longer comfortable going through with this purchase and that I would like my money back. It has been nearly 24 hours with no reply from them.

I also tried to pay them via Venmo, but there was an issue with the address for my credit card so it did not go through, but the information for the Venmo account is
