Oriental speaking phone call saying Direct TV was updating my receiver boxes and I needed to send check for $289.43 for upgrade. Said bill would be lowered $60/mo. for 2 yrs. Called next day to see if I had sent check. They abruptly hung up when I said this is a scam.

Recieved a call from someone claiming to be Direct TV. Said they were running a promotion with Amazon for 5 months free and to cut my bill to 59 a month for 2 years. Needed to pay for the first 5 months with an Amazon gift card.I purchased an Amazon gift card at CVS and called it into the 3 they gave me 888-630-3832.
