I was contacted via text about an employment opportunity because a recruiter saw my resume on Indeed. They told me to download the app Telegram, and i would have a briefing and interview. I followed the instructions and was connected to Alex Moore, the hiring manager. He conducted an interview and shortly after offered me a position. They sent me a W4 and I9 to fill out and return. They then sent me a check through my email, instructing me to do a mobil deposit so that i could purchase all my home office supplies. I had an off feeling about the situation since i had yet to speak to anyone outside of text. I took said check to the bank and they verified that the account was real but was not associated with the company looking to hire me. When they followed up with me about the deposit I told them to go ahead and void the check as I was no longer interested. They asked why and then deleted the conversation completely. However I i took screen shots. I am unable to upload them all but if you like i can email them to you. I also have the check still
