This website uses the following Scam strategy:

-Step 1: advertise "unlock service" for $28.99 wich in the end transforms into "eligibility verification".

-Step 2: confirm eligibility and ask for aditional $50.00 to unlock the phone.

-Step 3: Report impossibility of unlocking the device because it doesn't ask for an unlock code and offer a "credit note" and refuse to a refund. This also happens if your device DOES asks for an NCK code.

In the end they charge you $78.99 for a non existing service.

The company essentially tries to unlock phones that have icloud or passcode locks on them. They take your money and then say the device was stolen or barred by apple without providing any information. Then they just ghost you and take your money leaving your device the same way it was initially.

Direct unlocks claims to be able to unlock any cellphones network lock so it can be used with any service provider's sim card yet they are a scam site mimicking accual companies that do unlock network locks by beginning with "a charge of 28 dollars to check if your device is eligible to email you with a separate charge of 78 to unlock your device giving you a timer on the website for 4 days only when u reach day 4 and 100% it goes down to 99% with a message of this is taking longer than usual we have prioritized your imei and they are chasing it with the service provider the device is locked to even this is a lie 5 more days 2 emails with the same line of wording claiming your purchase will be resolved in a few days at this point they will stop replying to any email you send avoid Direct unlocks even the reviews on the website are false with seeming happy customers yet upon closer inspection each review seems to be typed by someone who does understand English to well with miss worded sentences and broken wording

I was given an ATT phone from a friend. There was no contract pending or outstanding bill. It was just off, but linked to ATT's sim card servers. I was told they could unlock it to use any sim card but first I had to pay $29.95 to see if it was eligible. When I did, they "ran a check" and it came back okay. Then they said to unlock it, the service would cost $40 dollars more. Then at the end of the unlock period, they said it was NOT eligible but they could unlock it anyway for $70 dollars more.
