I received a call from someone impersonating DIRECTV/AT&T stating that I was eligible for a discount on my services. EBay was offering the discount and I just needed to purchase $385 In EBay gift cards for prepayment of 7 months service. I purchased the cards and luckily googled scams and YES it was a scam. I did not return the call and give them the gift card numbers. I returned to the retail store that I purchased the cards at and they told me I could not get a refund, but to contact EBay. I contacted them and was told that I could not receive a refund from them either.
