I am a new retail store stocking equipment for the first time. A customer expressed interest in a specific product from Dirwin Bike Co Ltd. So, I ordered that product called the "Atlas" as well as one other bike. The other bike showed up on time. It was damaged but after my noting it they offered to send a new piece and adjust my next order with a credit to reflect the time I was forced to invest installing the damaged part. Not terrible, but not great for a first encounter. All though it should not be ignored that 100% of the business they did with me went other than expected, and I feel there was zero accountability. Here’s why....The bike wholesales for under 2k but there are freight charges as well although they did make the claim that my first order would ship free. It did not! right around 2k I am out at this point. I paid for the "Atlas" immediately as they requested, But then I found out in an email that the Atlas was on back order and it would arrive on the 20th of the month. This would be weeks after I paid for it but my customer grimaced as they agreed to wait. I asked my sales rep or Eric I don’t remember, why I had to pay for the bike before it was ready and I got no response. Then the 20th came and went as did my customer, and anything good they may have contributed to my shop economically. At that point I waited a couple more days to see if it would arrive. It did not. On or around the 27th I requested my money back and heard from my sales rep that he was on vacation and that he would send me a tracking number. (it is their own policy to send tracking info when the order is placed, according to their website, not like that meant anything). The tracking number he sent said there was a package in Denver. It had another name on it and I really don’t think it was mine. This is when the funny business started. on or around the 28th I sent a legal demand for my money to be returned. Then a delivery guy called and said he had a packed for another bike shop with my address. I told him to keep it, It sound like it’s not mine and even if it was I was refusing it because it was weeks late and I no longer needed it if it was indeed mine, but that I was not sure. The end of the month was spent arguing with anyone and everyone that was willing to waste my time arguing. Now here we are a month after I used 15% of my available funds to purchase inventory that I in turn need to turn over to make money to keep my shop open, on a product that never showed up in contact with people who don’t have the capacity to understand what a legal demand means or the demands of a retail operation. Their lack of accountability was astounding to behold for an adult man. My experience was terrible, and I will be seeking damages when I see them in court.
