The scammer targeted a family member pretending to be a software developer, under user name sumeetofficial_developer, for Discord claiming that the Discord account would be deleted if an account validation process wasn't performed but would take $399 to complete the validation process. Then the scammer asked to screen share my family member's computer screen and was instructed to open his online bank account to make payment. This was all done user screen share so the scammer could watch my family member log on to the online banking website and type in log on credentials. Since my family member couldn't log on to the banking account, the scammer emailed an invoice using PAYBIS cryptocurrency exchange. Since my family member didn't understand how to make payment via PAYBIS, the scammer asked my family member to go to TARGET store and purchase a STEAM gift card. When I discovered what was occurring to my family member, I intervened and asked what exactly the issue was and what was the reason for the charge and what would the charge cover. I was told it was an authentication of the account held with DISCORD which is a free service but to authenticate the account due to a reported fraudulent activity, the developer would require $399 to validate the account is real. I was told the $399 would be refunded after 1-2 minutes once the funds was received and registered into their database. Afterward, another scammer under another name decided to insist on reduced payment of $300 (not $399) to avoid account closure. Both scammers threatened to close the Discord account permanently is payment was received within the following 5 minutes. This was disgusting behavior taking advantage of a vulnerable, young person who can't comprehend what was occurring. I hope this provides some help to other website users.

I received a direct message from this person since I posted that I was looking to commission an artist on a Discord server. She said she had done work in the past and showed me the images in the first image. It looked like she was a good artist, so we agreed that she would make some art for me and that I would send her $50 via Venmo. About 2 weeks later she sent the 2nd 3rd and 4th images which look like very poor quality. I also included a picture of the account she used, which is the 5th image.
