I misdialed attempting to call UPS. They claimed they were UPS and said I was the 100th called so they would send me a $100 gift certificate voucher. I said okaya dn they took my name, email, and eventually credit card details for the “$1.99 shipping”. As the call went on I got suspicious and hung up. I saw a $5 statement on my credit card (see the image below) from neither UPS nor Discount and Savings Advatage, the company they claimed to be. It was from “Money Coach Network”.

I called back to inquire about this and they claimed they were not working with money coach network. Then they kept pushing the voucher and saying it’s such a good deal. I said I already got the vouched and just wanted a refund and “they couldn’t find me in their system”. Then I called back a few minutes later and accused them of scamming and they said that their number changes daily this was not the same company— even though I called minutes later. Then I called back again demanding a refund and they continued to claim they didn’t know me.
