I had filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy and had listed my home for a short sale. I saw Distressed Mortgage Solutions email me many times with an offer of saving my home, and stopping foreclosure. I was contacted by Mr. Frank Gant from distressed Mortgage Solutions, and later referred to the owner of Distressed Mortgage Solutions (Mr. Darrell Rigley) who promised me a lower mortgage balance along with lower monthly payments (I have the proposal & recorded phone calls). I informed Mr. Rigley that I was scheduled for a short sale settlement but he advised me to postpone it twice with a promise of saving my home if I paid $1750 to do an audit of my lender in order to use Distressed Mortgage Solution's retained attorney (Mr. Michael Reed in the state of Massachusettes). I insisted on making my payment through PayPal as opposed to just writing a check with a promise of a refund if no results. I then on numerous times requested that Distressed Mortgage Solution's attorney and Mr. Rigley talk to my short sale attorney prior to my short sale but I was told by Mr. Rigley not to worry that everything would be taken care of the day of my settlement (11/23/17). On that day Distressed Mortgage Solution's attorney (Mr. Michael Reed) called me and stated after speaking to my short sale attorney that there was nothing he or Distressed Mortgage Solutions could do for me. After that I spoke to Mr. Darrell Rigley who apologized and stated that he would refund my fee ($1750) minus a $400 cost for his audit work and printing cost which I reluctantly agreed. Shortly after I received an email to accept a refund of only $800 out of my $1750 (I have the emails) to which I replied that was not our agreement, and at that point Mr. Rigley completely refused any any refund altogether. I have an open case currently with PayPal disputing my payment but I would like to warn the unsuspecting public of Mr. Darrell Rigley's unethical and illegal practice of promising saving homes from foreclosure when in fact it is nothing than a mere scheme to collect large sums from people looking to head off foreclosure. I Should also point out that on Distressed Mortgage Solutions' website Mr. Darrell Rigley has put up a ScamPulse.com link to another entity called Tri Mark Solutions which shows an A+ rating however that site is misleading as nowhere it states anything to do with Distressed Mortgage Solutions except the fact that the business address is the same. Also online on a consumer watch website (ripoffReport) I found out lots of complaint by many other unsuspecting victims of Mr. Rigley's scam). I would like for the BBB of Jacksonville, FL to post a true rating of this obvious scam business front.
