On 04/17/2017, a man who identified as Carl Davis stated he was calling from a distribution center and he was calling because they recieved a complaint on me from their client ACE Cash Advance concerning a cash advance that I failed to pay back. Mr. Davis stated his job was to help me settle the matter before it reached the court and that would be expensive. He stated the loan was from 06/18/09 in the amount if $345 plus late fees of $700(I can't remember the dollar amount) to a total of over $1000. He offered to settle at a lesser amount. He would not provide me wirh the company's address or Corporate number stating my lawyer would have to retrieve that info when I recieve "the packet". I searched and found the Corporate number and spoke with a representative in the collections dept and was told they had no record of me ever having an account with them. Meanwhile, Mr. Davis is suppose to contact me today 04/19/2017 to talk about the settlement because he said this matter is time sensitive. Also, before I spoke with him, he called my residence earlier from a private number. I didn't answer so he left a voice mail. He stated why he was contacting me and said that if I didn't return the call the company will assume I recieved notification and the next step in contacting me will either be to my residence or place of employment. He provided a number and I called back. This man had my social security number, name, and DOB so I thought it was legit until I spoke with the Corporate office of ACE Cash Express.
