They called my cell phone claiming to be calling on behalf of the Hamilton County Clerks office on the weekend, and these offices are closed on weekends. They were calling my personal cell phone for a family member of mine, stating that there were allegations against him and he needed to contact them immediately or they would have to come to his job or house to get in touch. I did not give them any information except the case number that they gave me. I looked up the case number before I called and it didn't exist. When I called and gave them the case number they said my family member needed to just call them he didn't need to show up anywhere. I called back about a half hour later stating that I called previously, this time they did not ask for a case number, and I asked how they had gotten my number to contact my family member and the woman hesitated and said that the number had been removed from his file and they had already gotten in contact with him. I finally got in contact with my family member and he said he did not speak with anyone and when he called it went to a voicemail. They did not get any information from me or my family member, but it was suspicious.
