A few days ago, i registered my home phone on the do not call registry online. Today this call was made from a noisy call center. my phone said it was San Bernardino, CA. They said for me to have the do not call service for the rest of my life, i needed to confirm that I was the person responsible for the phone.

They had my name, phone number and address but verified each until they got to the point where they asked for my name on the check that pays the bill. They did not have the check information and were asking for it.

when i said this was not the way it used to be, they said it was a new law under a new president. I called BS and they hung up.
