"Yes, this is Samantha Green. My agent ID is 1622, and I'm calling in reference to your student loans. I need to discuss your payment options with some urgent changes that have taken place on your account recently. So if you can call me back, my number is 888-369-1052 and then I'll give you a reference number to have handy when you call back it just makes things a lot easier if you have it. It is XXXX and also this is time sensitive, and I've gone ahead and extended this matter to remain open on the account until Friday. Again the number is 888-369-1052. Thank you."
However, I do not have student loans.
I called back to get more info, and the first person I spoke to, Jesse, hung up on me when I asked where did they get my number. The second person, Mary Jane, told me she would transfer me to customer service to ask all my questions. The third person told me the company's name and address. I told her I wasn't giving her any information (she was asking for it so "they" could return my call), and I politely declined.
