The site says advertisements are checked for legitimacy before being posted on the website. However, the advertisement I responded to was a scam. Ad # 276025. They will text you directly from possibly #805-861-5448. They will require a supposedly fully refundable deposit of $400 if you want to pick up the dog yourself, or they say they will deliver the dog for full payment at delivery. Looking back, there were many red flags we overlooked. The scammer is good at sort of answering questions. We sent $400 to [email protected] via Zelle. I am so annoyed that I fell for this scam. I certainly hope my report will prevent someone else from being scammed. Is the ad the issue, or is the whole website a scam? Avoid both!
