I purchased two packs of batteries among several other items, most of which cost a $1.25, as this is a dollar store, and nothing is labeled as far as price. After getting home, I saw I was charged $10 for two packs of batteries. When attempting to get a refund two days later, they refused to give a refund or store credit, despite the fact that I had my receipt. I was told I could only exchange the batteries for other $5 items. Since none of the items offered are worth that price, I had no choice but to take the batteries. I have never heard of a store not giving a refund or credit when a receipt is furnished. Furthermore, no one expects to pay $5 per item in a dollar store. Finally, at the time of purchase, the batteries were not clearly labeled. This is a fraud and a scam which victimizes poor people who go to this site in order get basic necessities at low cost.

My son was offered to be hired at Dollar Tree. Margaret the Manger had my son and I fill out on their computer the W2 information with my sons social security card number, name, address, drivers liscense number and checking account number. He called as instructed to get his schedule. Margaret did not return his calls or text messages. My son went into the store to speak directly to Margaret and was told by Bryan, another manager that she wasn't there and he wasn't sure when she'd return and my son said that he was told that he'd get his schedule and Bryan looked for my son in their computer system and he said he wasn't in it and that he wasn't aware that he was hired and that there was nothing he could do. He asked my son to return at a later date, my son did and Margaret still did not have a schedule for him, she said she'd call him in a few days. He had tried calling her, texting her and trying to speak to her in person. This is very concerning to us as this is all of his sensitive, personal information on their computer system and he doesn't work there. I'd like this brought to your attention. I don't know what to do from this point and any feed back would be helpful.
