They sent me a letter saying my domain name for my website was going to expire on Febuary 12, 2025 and I must send them $265.00 to renew it for 5 years. I consulted with my website designer and manager and he said it is a scam.

Many of our dear customers have been receiving this type of fake letter/bill by mail. It's Mail Scam !!

**Remember my customers only purchased their domain(s) through *** ******** and will only be notified and invoiced by us (*** ********) as soon as the domain(s) is about to expire and ready for renewal** NOT by any other company.

This company waits until you're close to reaching the endo f your web domain life then sends you mail to "renew" it. This then transfers your domain to their control, and they'll attempt to extort money out of you to keep the domain in use.
