Male called from a Virginia Beach phone number saying letters had been sent to my address ( he knew my address) saying Dominion will be shutting off my electric within the hour for non payment. When I said we don't have Dominion power, he hung up on me.

Received a call stating that my power would be cut off in one hour. I was directed to call another number, which I did call, and the outgoing message was a counterfeit "Dominion Power" recording. Connected to a representative, I was told that my bill had outstanding debt of almost $500 which I would need to play immediately or have my power disconnected.

The connection was bad, I new it was a scam as my bills were paid. I called Dominion, verified my good account status and reported this fraud.

Pretended to be local power company employee on the way to Ct power due to lack of payment, provided a fake badge number and work order #
