scammer attempted to buy artwork from me by making an inquiry about artwork on line. He said he wanted to buy two paintings . He would send a money order for an over draft amount and I was to give the balance to a shipper who would pick up the paintings. I researched art scams and found scenarios that were identical to this. I told him, in an email that I was not comfortable with this amount of over draft and was going to tear up the ck. He was insistant that I not worry and take the check to the bank and cash it. At that point I believed I was dealing with a scammer and asked him not to contact me again.
