I fell for it, the "Can you hear me ok" scam. They said they were offering me a free trip to Disneyland. Phone number on caller ID was from local area code (520 - Sierra Vista, AZ). Phone number was 515-4362. I hung up when he stated "free trip to Disneyland".

What is their true intent and what can I do to prevent any future damage?

A woman said I'd won or qualified for a vacation and cruise in Orlando Florida. She asked if she could ask me a few questions before transferring me to the agents who would take my information. I did not say yes or no, but asked her if it was for a time-share. She said she couldn't hear my response and asked this question again, "if she could ask me a few questions". I said again, answer my question, "Was it for a timeshare, yes or no", and then she said "okay great, let me transfer you." I've heard of these scams where they try to get you to say "yes" or "no" over the phone and record you, then say you agreed to purchase something.

I'm thinking she recorded my "yes" or "no" and I may get charged for something I did not agree to buy.

I RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS ON MY HOME PHONE. THE MESSAGE LEFT IS BY A WOMAN & SHE SAYS THE AUTHORITIES WILL BE COMING TO ARREST ME. THEN WHEN YOU CALL YOU GET A FOREIGN GUY THAT MAKES IT SOUND SO REAL & IT UPSETS ME. TELLS ME A LETTER WAS SENT & I SIGNED FOR IT WHICH I DIDN'T AND I LIVE ALONE SO NO ONE CAN SIGN FOR IT. THEY HE TRIES TO GET YOU TO GIVE HIM YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD.

I received an automated call from this number asking if I needed credit relief. There was no number given in the message to opt out of receiving calls, only to press 9 to speak with a representative. When I pressed 9, a person named Randy came on the line. When I asked him to put my phone number on their do not call list and not to sell my number to any other companies, he responded with "Come on Ma'am, sell your number? That wouldn't be beneficial" and hung up.

A person from an unnamed energy company calls and says they are on their way to turn off your electric due to lack of payment. I was "gotten" by this type of scam once before, so I knew what it was this time. They ask for all sorts of personal payment info, including social security number.

Number: 888-574-3098, person identified as "Amy".

When you ask them which electric company they are with, they guess one of the major ones in North Texas, hoping its the one you use.

I received several phone calls from an 800 phone number which I did not pick up or missed. I finally called them back and unfortunately, they sounded so professional ("This issue pertains to your Citi account....etc.") and I unthinkingly gave them my credit card number AND the last four digits of my social security number. They then told me that I had an outstanding bill of $25 that was due on the 20th, which was what they had been calling me about. I pressed them about the phonecalls, since I have electronic alerts set up for my acccounts, and she apologized, saying that it would not happen again.

I have cancelled the said credit card, but am concerned that they have enough information about me (name, phone number, one credit card number--which may give them access to address etc.--and last 4 digits of my SSN) that may enable them to attempt other security breaches or identity theft.

The number they called from, and which may still be live, is: 1-800-388-2200.

PLEASE REPORT THIS CREDIT CARD FRAUD!

I am getting about 10 calls a day from this person same person different numbers from888 to618—and every where else—the story has changed since I did talk to the person twice - and debated the fee to pay before get a loan—then he started a number that cant be traced—
what it says is you qualify for an amount say5000 when you call he says we don't go in bank and take money—you go get a card at store of 150 then give us the numbers on that card and we give you the loan — i am on disability and did need a small loan i do to pay some medical bills and maybe Christmas but this person is a fraud — it is so no one can n ot see that—one time they did claim to be advanced America but other then that there was no name
the calls have to stop—I am sick and cant take all this
two numbers are
8033693419 and one other i saved are3142980055-which i think is another credit loan pace not sure now—may be vantage credit union — and two others
I also got in mail - 3 rejection notices from 3 credit unions I never applied for and the name was Jessa Ammons on the envelope—so i don't know if she has anything to do with this either—
also I saw where there are also things on my credit report of
