This just happened to me as well. A girl by the name of Ashley Shanay listed this for her “sister”, Doris Pierce for $1200. Way too good to be true. I emailed her at [email protected]. She wrote back immediately with the story about her son who died in a bike accident two months ago, and that’s why she wants to sell his Jeep, etc. Dang man. Thought I found the deal of the century! Lol. She said eBay motors would be contacting me. I assume I’ll hear no more from her after my next email to her. Haha

Exact same thing. Facebook marketplace ad for a 2004 scamp camper for 1600. when you click for more pics a photo pops up of some guy claiming to be a realtor and selling for his aunt and gave me her email. She sent requested photos and the whole Ebay auto speech and that her son of 26 years died two months ago. I googled her name and could not find any obutuary for said son anywhere. Then I did a reverse image search. The exact photos were from a sold 2008 scamp trailer in Pittsburg that sold for $12000. I also found several adds elsewhere for this camper and other items. So I told her U had cash but wanted to see it first and she said it was in storage in Nebraska ready to be shipped at which time I called her out on "her" (their)scam! The email is [email protected]! What [censored]. Probably same people operating those call centers pretending to be IRS!

**This is the legitimate add that my reverse image search brought up. Exact same wording and interior decor.

Saw a listing on Facebook for a Scamp 16 trailer for $1,602. When I messaged, I got a message back saying she was posting it for her aunt and gave me the email [email protected]. I got an email back from "Doris Pierce" about going through eBay motors for the transaction. Pictures sent showed the inside of the trailer decked in Steelers gear and stars and stripes. When I searched online, there was another scam posted here about Doris Pierce and a Scamp 16 listed for $2,000. I also found a listing on Pinterest under Doris Robert for a Scamp 16 for $2,500.

This is very similar to a scam I read about under travel trailer on the ScamPulse.com site. I couldn’t get the rep to return my calls so I looked at this site instead and there it was! The one we were looking into was a 2004 Scamp travel trailer for $2000! Should’ve known by the price but I was duped for a bit! She claimed they had to move to Nebraska was basically the only difference! She had put this on the Facebook market place site.
