Fast forward to 3 weeks later and still no bag, no shipping update, nothing. I expected some shipping delays due to COVID, but now I was starting to get suspicious. I looked up Doristas and immediately found several posts saying that the website was only made in December of 2020 and that the legitimacy of this company was unclear. Nothing ever explicitly stated this was a scam, but I was starting to see the writing on the wall. I noticed at the top of the website there was a logo for something called Happy Shop, even though the website itself was called Doristas, and lo and behold there are A LOT of very similar looking websites all selling different items under this same logo. The icing on the cake was discovering that the business's address was actually just a FedEx shipping facility somewhere in Abilene, Texas.
At this point I decided to reach out to the customer service email that was on the order confirmation. They replied a week later and said that they would be sending me a tracking number within 3-5 business days. On business day 6 I followed up again after receiving no updates, and within hours they replied with some story about how "the item was shipped but got lost, so we need to send you a replacement but it might not get there until March 20th!" (see attached screenshot)
They then sent me an updated "tracking number" and a link to track it that took me to a website I had never heard of. I looked THAT website up and pretty much every result was like "if they send you a tracking number from this website, you're not getting your item and it's a scam."
I've seen this "Happy Shop" logo pop up on several other websites that look almost identical just with different brand names.
