Received a text message regarding a job offer was told to download the app signal for my interview. Went through an online interview on signal. I was told I had the job and they would send me a $5000 check to buy all office supplies needed. Received over night check and deposited it into my bank account. Long story short the check was fraudulent per my bank. The scammers now have all of my personal information which include my drivers license number and social security card number.

I applied for a job and uploaded resume to several sites. I was contacted via text message (719) 212-4640 from a Jacqueline Peterson from Sampo Group regarding an interview, I was then asked to download messaging app (Signal Privater Messenger) to communicate with a Douglas Farley (415) 413-5766 for a remote position with company. I communicated and interviewed for the position through the app. I was sent a start-up check for office supplies sent via FedEx to my home. I went to my bank to deposit the start-up check, and was advised by my bank that the check was fraudulent. My bank called the bank to verify funds and was told the check was fraudulent.
