The person I talked to is very bad at English. Maybe because I was too excited for getting a cat, I didn't feel that suspicious. By the end of that day, I paid $600 deposit through Zelle to reserve a cat after a couple phone calls with them. The next day, they called me and asked me to pay for the rest and they will send me a contract after. I then started feel weird, since it seems that they don't really care about the cat but just wanted my money as soon as possible. I asked him a couple questions about cats and he has no idea about it and he was nervous when I asked him to send over certification they should have. I then understood they are probably scam and asked for a refund for my deposit. After that, he hung up my phone call and I was unable to contact them anymore. By the way, I tried calling them after a couple times and then I got a phone call from a man who yelled at me, "stop calling me anymore, you scam!" I am not sure if they use a system to steal other people's phone numbers for scamming or what.
I was very angry, but tried to calm myself down as soon as possible. I contacted the bank and luckily, the transaction was still pending. I asked them to dispute it since I was scammed. The claim is still processing, not sure if I will get my money back...
