I purchased two mystery boxes from DowntownNew Life Site, a company from Oregon, offering mystery boxes of electronics. I decided to purchase two boxes, one regular and one deluxe. Upon extra research I found that this site was full of ratings warning of scams as well as the fact that this website didn’t exist two months prior to me ordering. I tried to contact the company to cancel my order and was taken to a dead link: 404 Page Not Found. When I received a confirmation email I replied to tell them I didn’t want the package and had been trying to cancel the order. They said sorry but there was nothing they could do since it already shipped. They wouldn’t give me an offer to return for a refund just a tuff luck. When I received the package I only received the basic package. When I inquired about it I was told that they shipped both mystery boxes in the same package. Apparently to this company, a mystery box includes only one item not worth the cost of the initial mystery box. I complained about it and asked for a refund on the deluxe box. I was told no but was offered a discount code for my next purchase. I will never be purchasing from them again and I believe they’re running a scam on people. They also asked about all credit card information as well, when I tried to cancel the order I had to also cancel my bank card due to believing they asked for too much information.
