I called West Coast Local Locksmith and told the person who answered that I locked myself out of my car. The person told me to stay near my phone. I received a phone call and a person told me they would arrive in the next 30 mins. Dr. Locksmith arrived and informed me that the service would be $424 to unlock my car. I Venmo’d the amount but asked why the charge was so high. He gave an unsatisfactory answer and unlocked the car within 10 mins of arrival. I called West Coast Local Locksmith back and they said that Dr Locksmith “was not one of their guys” and that if I needed one of their technicians, I should have asked them to send a technician. I asked how Dr Locksmith got my number and they claimed to not know what I was talking about and they hung up on me. I called Dr Locksmith and he confirmed that he got my number from the West Coast Local Locksmith people; in addition, he was made aware of the repeated calls I made to West Coast Local Locksmith because he told me to only call him and not the main office. I asked Dr locksmith to provide me with a receipt so I could see exactly what I was charged for and it didn’t get sent until 4+ hours later. When it did get sent, the price was different from what I was actually charged and my name was signed for me (and misspelled). I believe I was grossly overcharged for the service provided and that the parties involved were not very respectful at certain points.
