I received an email on yesterday 06/17/2020 the email states as such. "Due to the social distancing and isolation measures, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is working hand in hand with the University in search of people to work as an online purchase and personal assistant by helping doctors making Bill payments, replying to emails, and purchasing medical and home supplies. This is strictly an online opportunity for $500 weekly. No going out of your home. For applications, text your name, physical address, and age to Dr S. Hoeschen @ (931)324-5267. I texted my information to this number were I received a response of what the job details are and if I would like to proceed. Then I was advised that I would need to purchase Business Check Paper for Printing from a stationery store or Amazon. Then, I would need to send proof that the order was placed for reimbursement. I placed the order to Amazon and submitted the picture of delivery confirmation to this number 931.324.5267, I was asked when was the delivery expected, I advised this Friday 06.19.2020. The scammer replied that was a good day and that I will be contacted for more instruction then. I received an email this morning 06/18/2020 confirming this was a scam email and I report to Federal Trade Commission and BBB.

Hi!

I received the exact same message. I was skeptical, and I tried to research the organization. I was unable to find much on anything. Eventually, I decided to deposit the checks I received in the mail. My directions were to order walkers for a nursing home off of the Walmart website. I did this, however, I used a gift card to pay for the walkers so no one could track my card information. I texted Dr. S Hoeschen back, and she seemed fishy. That is when I found this. What should I do now? Should I close my account and open a new one? Should I be worried that my money is going to be taken? Please let me know, and I will be reporting this scammer.
