I've been applying for remote jobs on Linkedin and was contacted by someone saying they are a recruiter for the company. Did an interview but I typed the answers to the questions on Microsoft Teams but never actually spoke with anyone, after completing the interview was advised had another interview the next day and that's when the recruiter requested a payment of $500 before they will send the equipment needed to do the job. As it was early in the morning and wanting to get another job working remotely I bought the ebay gift cards however after making the purchase was advised they needed pictures of the gift cards before they can send the equipment and that's when the red flags went up. I just want to make sure this is how the company actually works, I tried reaching out directly to the company but there is no phone number available when googling the company.
