My wife and I were in the market for a female Cockapoo puppy and found the website, www.dreamcockapoopuppies.com, that had several for sale. The breeder told us they were a small in-home breeder that was hands on with the puppies which sounded desirable to us. The website indicated free shipping and a cost of $780 per puppy. We communicated by phone, email, text and all seemed on the level. They requested payment be sent via western Union which we thought was a little strange, however thought since they were a small scale breeder it would be alright..wrong! We wired the money and then it came time to ship the puppy through Pet-safe Delivery Service that shipping company required another wire transfer of over $900 for a "special crate" at which time we said NO and they indicated the puppy wouldn't be shipped. The breeder hasn't returned phone, text or emails. The breeder and shipping company seem to be in cahoots together. Lesson learned, never wire money to someone you don't know as it's the same as handing them cash. .
