Having just received my DoT sweater I’d like to share my experience. I ordered the jumper on 26th November and got email confirmation. I got no other communication until 8th December when DoT said the order was “on its way”. In reality all that had happened was that DoT had informed DHL that my package was “on its way”.
On 20th December I got another “on its way” email from DoT followed on 26th Dec by confirmation from DHL that they actually had the package. To their credit DHL managed to get the package from NJ to my house in the UK in 3 days - so well done to them!
Lessons learnt: expect long periods (several weeks) of no communication from DoTs.
If you are ordering from the UK you will be charged 20% vat and 12% import duty plus a small admin fee from DHL - all of which you will have to pay before your package leaves US customs (otherwise it will not be released by UK customs).
Anyway I appreciate people’s concern over spending so much and getting so little communication/ reassurance that their order is actually being processed.
For me the story ended well and I really love the quality and feel of the sweater!

I ordered a sweater for 199.00 I got the sweater, but it was too big an I keep emailing them requesting a return label but they been ignoring me this has been going on for 2weeks now 1/10/23-1/24/23

i purchased a sweater online for 159.00 from dream of threads. i placed the order september 23rd and i still havent received any shipping information. i reachedbout for my order to be canceled but they dont want to refund me they just want me to continue waiting.
