I received 2 phone calls from the same person (Robert) first saying they represented Water Consulting of Georgia and a few days later that they were from the Drinking Water Division in Tumwater, WA. They claimed they had extra grant funds they needed to distribute to businesses in the water industry - to avoid taxes - and I have a water related consulting business. However, when I asked about the sources of the grants they didn't have that basic info but asked about my UBI #, business location, activities and clients. When I later looked up the business' I could find basic websites & locations talking about water filtration systems but that would not be a service related to my business. They said they'd mail me a package. There are allot of federal grants for water available and this caller didn't seem knowledgeable or legitimate - it seemed they were phishing for information.
