My Washington state driver's license was expiring in late August. Because of Covid, I went online to renew it. The Google search of Washington state license renewal brought up a site Washington Renewal Application - Online Lic Renewal Form. It was the first item on the search list so I foolishly selected it. I paid $105 and didn't think about the cost - mostly because car tabs are so high. Yesterday, I received a renewal notice from the state for my drivers license and realized the money I paid wasn't applied to my renewal. The state renewal fee was for $54. I emailed the third party I had paid the $105 to stating that I would be contacting my credit card company as well as reporting the scam. I'm now very concerned about the information I provided being used for identity theft. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
