It was a very unpleasant experience. I won't ever use Drivo again! The only one nice person in the whole company was the shuttle driver. It was a hassle to communicate at the JFK Airport about the shuttle. It took about an hour for it to come. Then we had to stay inline in the heat in a room with no AC for another hour and a half or two to get into the office. Once we did the paper work for the car, they recorded - or so they seemed - the condition of the car with an iPad. As I tried to take some pictures of scratches of the car, they said they would send to us a copy of the report, which they never did. The car had a couple of scratches and bumps and also a loose front bumper which looks like it was glued. It fell of constantly making noises. I was concerned because I never received a copy of the car report.
I rented the car for 4 days and was in Niagara Falls (CA) for a day and a half. They had told me that if I'd drive the car out into an area not covered by the rental agreement, I would have to pay $35 a day in addition to the agreed price. They had a GPS and located the car the very day I entered in Canada, which was documented in a text message they sent me. Nevertheless, they charged me $35 dollars a day for the entire 4 days of the rental (total $170.26) even though I was in Niagara Falls only 1 day and a half. Upon returning the car, I requested to speak to the manager to ask him to honor the content of the text message sent ($35 a day for every day we go outside the covered area of the contract). He was angry and very disrespectful and said that if I didn't like it, I was free to go somewhere else. Too late for me, right? Very disappointed. I should have heard of the complains every person expressed when leaving the office. Horrible experience.

I RENTED A CAR FROM DRIVO RENT A CAR IN QUEENS, IN FEBRUARY WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR , THEY CONTACTED ME TWO MONTHS LATER BY EMAIL SAYING THAT DISEL GAS WAS PUT IN THE CAR, AND THEY PUT A CLAIM THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY, WHEN MY INSURANCE COMPANY CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE CLAIM I ADVISED NATIONWIDE THAT THE GAS STATION THAT I PUT THE GAS AT DIDNT SELL DISEL GAS , I PROVIDED HIM WITH A COPY OF THE GAS STATION WITH THE RECEIPT, HE CALLED AND CONFIRMED THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN SELL DISEL GAS, MY INSURANCE COMPANY DECLINED THE CLAIM BECAUSE IT WAS FRAUD THAT THEY TRIED TO ACCUSE ME OF USING DISEL GAS. WHEN I SAW THE CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY (CREDIT ONE) ADVISED THEM OF WHAT HAPPENED THEY SAID THAT THEY COULDNT DO ANYTHING FOR ME THEY NEEDED A POLICE REPORT , THIS HAPPENED IN FEBRUARY I EXPLAINED TO THEM I CAN'T GET A POLICE REPORT BUT I CAN GET PROOF FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER THEIR INVESTIGATION, THEY SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO . I CANCEL MY CARD WITH THEM. I FEEL VIOLATED BY DRIVO RENT A CAR AND MY MONEY NEEDS TO BE REFUNDED TO ME THEY TOOK $400 AND THAT CAUSE MY CREDIT CARD TO MAX OUT WITH OVER LIMIT FEE'S ECT... MY NAME IS ****** *****I I CAN BE REACHED AT : **********************, ###-###-####..THEY CHARGED MY CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION
