I received a phone call from "legal" services stating that I owed money on a pay day loan. They couldn't tell me when this was taken out only that it was reported in 2016, however they were using my previous last name and address from 12 years ago!? I know I was struggling at the time and took out a loan from a local company around that time, but this is the first I've ever heard of the company EZCorp EZ Money. I know I don't have anything for this company on my credit report, nor are there any judgments against me. Like a dummy I gave them my card information, but I was able to lock it from use. Once I downloaded their "Adobesign" document I thought things just looked fishy. I even looked up EZCorp EZ Money and found out that they were banned from doing loans in 2016. Anyone else have this issue? Or any information if this is a true scam?

They now using address: 100 PLAZA PL 300 #30 Northlake, TX 76226 (940)-277-0076 which is to a printing services be aware and don’t pay them a dime. The switch from the CA address to a TX address file with the state general. Georgia and California are tracking these people and charging criminal charges from the mail letter I received. Report them to the trade commissions as well

Person on the phone was very rude after I confronted him about sending something official in the mail. I double checked my husband's credit score and this debt didn't appear on it. They said they had all this information about my husband's debt but couldn't give me any specifics about the debt. We called our bank to stop the payment and to reissue another debit card. Lots of red flags here. If we're wrong, then they can send us some mail.

That address is a fake! My lawyer sent certified mail to them and I did also and USPS sent the mail back because the address is vacant and not occupied. Do not pay Elissa, Joseph, John, and whoever else at DRS because they are scammers. Please ask for a professional license number and have you attorney general check to make sure they are a legit business. Do not give personal info and even if they verify your information tell them you will get the attorney general involved. Let them know you have a witness on the phone with you and to cease and desist or you will sue . I hope this helps. Also check your state laws and see what your state legislatures timeframes are. You cannot go to jail over a debt and will not get criminal charges. They will be quick to mention about a lawsuit inform them you’ll see them in court and they’ll hang up lol

Do not pay DRS anything they are a scam. I had certified mailed sent to them from a lawyer and USPS said the address is vacant that they provide. They will not give a professional license number showing they are a legit debt collector. Before you give them the info let them know you will contact the original creditor . This place is a scam! I filed a police report on them. Elissa, John, and Joseph are scammers and not a real business . DRS in Fontana, CA are full of [censored] plus they tried to take money out my account again for 1440.00 I was faster and disputed with my bank who blocked the transaction.

I called this number and was a lady who picked up stating even though the debt is old from 2015 since the company couldn’t add it to my credit report they the was trying to sue and garnish me. I never had anything happen like this before. The lady was rude and stated I had to let them know something by today or the why not lease it furniture store was going to sue. I told her in Georgia anything over 6 years don’t go against me. They kept being bias and disrespecting me talking about criminal charges. I paid 40.00 and set up a lump sum to be done for a settlement. They had me sign documentation and after researching I feel like I made the wrong decision. They are not professional and very pushy. Plus the address pulls up for a USPS. Joseph also emailed me as well. They didn’t even say they was a debt collector

This week a person called me named Joseph Gibson from dispute resolution services in Fontana, ca says I owe $1250.00 to check 'n' go from Lincoln, NE but that old debt/payday loan was paid off a few years ago. Sounds like a scammer trying to scam money from me.

This guy by the name Martin Johnson contacted me during covid claiming he is with DRS mediation services that I have an outstanding debt that I resolved a few years ago. He said I was being contacted for check fraud and I had to make $210.03 payments each month to avoid going to court. Anytime I was unable to make this payment or my funds were insufficient Martin Johnson would start yelling at me and cussing that he should just let this go to court because clearly I don't take the matter seriously. Anytime I did make a payment I would get a receipt from Joseph Gibson and not a Martin Johnson. After numerous calls and threats I started to pay. He contacted me again August 31,2021 to make another payment unfortunately I just paid all of my bills and had no access to my debit card I recently lost or funds for that matter so I told him I could provide an accounting and routing number to take care of payment today, he then proceeds to tell me all I have is excuses and dodge his calls when I have done nothing but communicate and try to resolve this if it is truly a debt. Today he tells me I need to go to wal-mart and get a prepaid visa card to make the payment. This just raised a red flag after months of making payments. I finally researched the information for the address pulls up some building near the airport in Fontana California. When he isn't calling from a 909-361-4224 he is calling from a blocked or unknown number. Anytime he doesn't get the answer he wants he starts yelling and cussing at me then hangs up. I am honestly tired of dealing with this unprofessional character if I need to handle this in court I will if it is a true legal matter however I haven't been provided any proof or documentation for the matter he is calling about. I just would like to warn anyone that this may possibly be a scam.
