I ordered two Squirrel proof bird feeder which came through the distributor titled Duskweling, 1000 High Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861
This order was placed on 19 March 2023 from an ad on Facebook. The items arrived to our home on 5 May 2023. Both items were damaged beyond use or repair. This was due both the poor quality of the product and the shipping package. The items were in single wall thin cardboard container (pictures attached) and in a plastic wrap.
Due to the fact that it took exactly 48 days to receive the bird feeders they were no longer eligible for any refund. Their policy is “Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.”
I have contacted the seller on four different occasions via email and stated the following:
Sir/Ma’am,
I am formally requesting a full refund of the purchase price that I paid of $35.57.
The reasons I am requesting a full refund is:
1. The poor quality of the product. Definitely not what is depicted in the sales videos on Facebook.
2. The poor packing and shipment method of using single walled cardboard containers further contained in a plastic bag.
3. Nowhere in the ad that was posted on Facebook where you sold his product from did it state that the item was coming through Ireland and subsequently took 48 days to receive this item.
Their customer support personnel have offered several refunds of no more than $7.00 USD. I have also requested the contact information for their CEO or President so that I may appeal to them but have received no reply with that information.
My intent in filing this complaint is to not only get refunded my hard earned money that I feel I was fraudulently cheated out of with the shipping delays but to also warn other consumers of the issue with their product and deceptive return policy.
