DueNorth Oncology Reports & Reviews (17)

- Asheville, NC, USA

Elizabeth Ammann from DueNorth Oncology reached out unsolicited via text with a job offer. They "hired" me and sent me a $960 check right away. The day the check cleared I get an invoice for office equipment from Valor Equipment LLC for $920 that I was to pay with the $960. I called my bank and the money is there and they've assured me the check cannot be cancelled at this point since it has cleared. I'm not paying the invoice and I haven't heard anything back from Elizabeth after I messaged her 3 hours ago saying this felt like a scam to me.

I was texted by an Elizabeth Ammann. She asked for my resume which I sent. Then was given a written offer. Then I was sent a check and I thankfully didn’t attempt to put it in my bank. Now all contact has stopped and emails come back returned as the email address is incorrect

I was informed about a remote data entry position that was open for DueNorth Oncology by an Elizabeth Ammann. They said that they offered a benefits package and talked about how the price would be for doing training online and then how much you would be making during the job. When I emailed back asking to talk on the phone I got an email back stating that the domain for the email address could no longer be found.

- Thonotosassa, FL, USA

I was contacted and asked to send my resume. Once sent I got an email saying the company was impressed with my qualifications. Via email had me fill out an employee form and questionare, also had me sign an employment agreement form. Set up an employee portal and had me download the telegram app stating it was how we would communicate until my employee email is activated. Once I looked further into it I was uncomfortable moving forward.

I recently received a job offer notification via text message from DueNorth Oncology. They requested a copy of my resume, and after I sent it, they emailed me the job description. However, after going through this process, I had a gut feeling to research the company on Google again. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any evidence its website, which no longer existed. Moreover, the phone number used to contact me was from Texas, while the company's website indicated a Canadian location. This contradiction raised suspicions. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to use Google Maps to locate the address they provided. To my surprise, it turned out to be a residential house instead of a company office. This discovery further fueled my concerns. To make matters worse, they asked me to communicate with them through Telegram, a platform that I later learned is known for being associated with job scams. On Telegram, the HR assistant who contacted me throughout this "hiring process," Elizabeth Ammann, sent a video introducing me to the company. I have attached the video to this description. Additionally, I found some other red flags that raised further concerns. The benefits they offered for a part-time position seemed too good to be true, including 10 vacation days and an unusually high salary. They also asked me to send my resume directly to their email address ([email protected]) to apply, which seemed unprofessional. The offer letter they provided had no legal terms, and they even mentioned sending a check for equipment, which seemed suspicious.

I was approached via text message about a job with DueNorth Oncology by Elizabeth Ammann. The text requested that I send my resume to [email protected]. After I sent my resume, I received an email with details about the potential job. I was directed to take a legitimate-looking pre-assessment, and then contacted a few days later with a job offer. I was informed that I would receive an emailed check to purchase office equipment with. The job's hours and workload began to seem too good to be true, and looking into the company, I couldn't find much information. The street address is associated with a house, and there is very limited information about anyone else who works there. I have hence blocked all communication.

DueNorth Oncology, or really someone calling themselves Elizabeth Ammann | HR Assistant, reached out through both text and email to inform me that I was the perfect candidate for a data entry position. Since I have applied for many jobs recently, it didn't ring any alarm bells that I did not actually apply to this company. They asked for a resume, even had me take an assessment and we had corresponding emails back and forth with what seemed like legitimate terms, $20 an hour for training for 2 weeks, and $27 and hour after. I just graduated recently and was hoping this job could hold me over until I found another job in my field of choice and I've never worked for a data entry position, so I was unaware that this is rather high pay for data entry. That should have been my first clue. However, it all seemed mostly legit at first. However when I suddenly received an offer letter, because "A decision about your employment was made sooner than expected as we need to fill this position as soon as possible," those alarm bells started ringing. I've never been hired by a company without even a interview.

This made me do some research and the doctor listed as an Oncologist hasn't had a valid license since 2019, and while he is a doctor, he is a family physician and not an oncologist. The website through the domain of cheapnames inc, was opened on June 15th, 2023 and the code looks like it was copy and pasted and then filled in.

They even went as far to send a "offer letter", which pretty quickly stated

"All of our administrative staff are currently working from home and we are unable to coordinate the shipping of your office equipment to you. However, the company is willing to send you a check. The amount on the check will cover the purchase and shipping of your office equipment. The HR Assistant (Ms Ammann) will also assist you with this process. You are expected to use the funds from the check to complete the purchase of your office equipment from the company-approved vendor. Kindly advise that the company can rely on your full trust, commitment and diligence in carrying out this task."

No legitimate company would send a check, one does that anymore, and working in a banking company before this, I realized just how easy it would be to cancel that check and leave me in the negative. I then went to ScamPulse.com and realized quickly, thanks to previous and recent reports that this was all too good to be true.

Elizabeth Ammann contacted me about a Data Clerk job offer. I immediately got the job without an interview, only based on a "skill-based" test. However, after reviewing this website and researching further, the listed address appears to be a house in Southbury, CT, which seems shady. Also, none of the doctors or researchers on the website actually show up on the website, which is also weird. The email is [email protected].

- Roswell, GA, USA

Same as reported by earlier victim - initial contact by text followed by offer letter and notification that the would send a check to cover cost of computer equipment to include shipping.

- Augusta, GA, USA

Reached out via text asking for resume, quickly sent job offer without any real interview, just didn't seem right. Pay was very high for a data entry job as well.

- Edgewater, FL, USA

I was in the middle of completing the new employee packet, and found this information after feeling uncomfortable about the process. The tactics used are the same as the previous complaint.

- Blacksburg, VA, USA

I found a job posting for a work from home, data entry position for a business called DueNorth Oncology on either Linkedin or Indeed. All communication was through email or text. I did not have an interview, they sent me a link to an assesment test, https://careers.duenorthoncology.com/assesment ,and then they sent me an offer letter. The offer letter informed me that they would be sending me a check so I could purchase the equipment I would need. I thought that was strange, so I tried to call my contact and was sent straight to voicemail. When I tried to get back on the website it was shut down.

- Lawrenceville, GA, USA

I initially received a text message about employment from someone name Elizabeth Ammans , who then asked me to send my resume for review , which I did , then received an email from the same person saying that they were interested in moving forward with employment. I noticed it might be a scam when the offer letter stated that they would send me a check for office supplies.

- Wilmington, NC, USA

I applied for a remote job posting on LinkedIn. I received a text message from Elizabeth Ammann stating that they were interested in interviewing me and asked me to email my resume. I emailed my resume to them and the next communication I received was an emailed offer letter that looked professional and legitimate. Elizabeth texted me to make sure I saw the email. I signed it and emailed it back and asked for next steps. Elizabeth emailed me a link to register for employment and asked me to email her my full name to make sure it matches the submission I send. The registration link asks for the bank name where I receive payroll, the reason stating: “ (we need this information to confirm that it meets our company's payroll conditions)”. Bank account info was not requested, but birthdate was.

- Bristow, VA, USA

Texted me claiming I had applied for a job with them though I hadn’t.

After I sent my resume, they sent an email with job description asking if I was interested.

Ask me to do an assessment.

Contacted me next business day with offer of employment and explaining that no one was able to send my equipment so they were sending me a check to buy the equipment.,

- Houston, TX, USA

Elizabeth Ammann only emailed me & texted which allowed me to know tis wasn't a real company. I didn't even interview for the job and a week later I'm offered the job after she asked for my resume I emailed it to them. I'm desperate for another job position and Linkedin is allowing a ton of scammers to operate off their site right now.
