Applied for job at above website, had simple interview over text, was told I was hired. Seemed odd, but was willing to go with it. Told me I'd be a remote worker from home and they'd buy the equipment I'd need. Sent a check for just under 7k within 24 hours, told me to deposit it and get a cashiers check immediately to deposit to their vendor account for the equipment. 'Vendor' name looked like a personal investment account. Told them I would not deposit any cashiers check until 10 days when my bank could confirm their check cleared. Tried to convince me it was all OK. Dangerous scam, if I had deposited their check and given them the cashiers check and it bounced, I'd be out the 7k. Talked to bank, tried to report, no one seems interested since I didn't fall for it. Want to get the info out so no one gets hurt by this. No way to mark it on the many employment sites I have found it on. I have all communications saved.
