fake company. fake address. scammer selling items on craigslist with stolen photos from other craigslist ads. AKA- DVV auto shippers, DVA auto shippers, Springfield Shipping.

Found a Craigslist ad for a 2016 Ford Transit 350 XLT. The ad listed the car for 8,000 dollars which is a very good deal for the condition of the vehicle. I contacted the phone number (612)-746-7564 for information on the vehicle. They told me it was still available and asked for an email to send more pictures and info about the vehicle, I obliged. They then sent me a long email stating that their husband had recently passed and that's why they were trying to sell so fast and cheap. they also said they had moved to Omaha NE to start fresh. They said they had an auto shipping company available and wanted to use DVA auto shippers. I contacted the company and talked to an actual person claiming to be some sort of customer support. They said I could have the vehicle shipped but would have to pay the company for the vehicle before actually shipping then they would give the owner the money. After realizing that sounded unsafe I contacted the owner and offered to come pick the vehicle up in person and also offered to pay any extra costs for withdrwaing the vehicle from the DVA company I never received any contact after that. I believe the phone number, the owners E-mail and the website were all the same person/people working to scam me for 8,000 dollars.

I attempted to purchase a vehicle from DVA Auto Shippers and they insisted on a money transfer.

They appear to be using a false address.

I was looking for a boat and find in Craiglist a beautiful boat to good for be true, very low price, regular price is 100-200k for this model and year, they are offering by 9500$, when you contacted the seller he said he is working so ask you for your email address because the boat below to his mother and she give you all the details you’re asking, them she write you and told you and history about the boat, it belongs to her husband who died a month ago, and she doesn’t want to see it again so they move to another state to begin a fresh star with her daughter, them she said, when you want to see the boat, she has it in a company ready to send to the buyer ( DVA auto shippers), them she asks me my whole name and phone number and said that DVA send you and pdf with all the information that you need, so they give me a order# and give me the way to pay for the item, you have to deposit by bank wire deposit the money to DVA and they guarantee your money until you receive the item and give you 5 days to check it if you don’t want it you send it back without charge, you don’t have to pay for nothing else, not even the transportation

Was interested in purchasing a boat found online (Craigslist). Made contact with seller by text message, who then emailed details saying husband passed away last month and boat gives her bad memories, so she wants to sell it as quickly as possible. She and her daughter moved in with her parents in Omaha, NE, for a new start. She said the boat was being held at the shipping company DVA Auto Shippers. I was skeptical so I contacted DVA to confirm they had possession of the boat, and was hung up on. I then searched the company name and found a similar story of someone who was interested in purchasing a car. Appears to be a scam.

Saw a car listed on Craigslist...contacted person who stated she moved from Wa. to Nebraska and her car was with DVA auto shippers in Omaha. Called them...they do have a website. When asking for details, one person hung up. Spoke to someone else who said that the car was with them, wrapped and ready to ship but we would need to send them money from our bank account before they shipped car. When I asked them how do I know this is not a scam, they hung up again.

Searching for a used jeep on Cars.com found one that appeared to be way under valued. Private seller said she had moved from WA to NE and was having DVA Auto Shippers sell the car for her. Her story on email is convincing and DVA Auto Shippers does have a website and does answer phones.

Her is the 'Seller's" claim:

Hi there, thank you for your interest in buying my jeep. My 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport has 75,000 original miles, with a 4.0L, 6 cylinders engine, automatic transmission. It is in perfect condition, no need for additional repairs,no scratches, dings or rust. The vehicle looks great. It runs like new and all services are up to date. Also, I need to mention that it was never involved in any accidents. The price is $4,521. It belonged to my husband but he passed away(had a heart attack) so I decided to sell it because to be honest, it's only gathering dust in my garage.I just moved with my daughter in Omaha, NE so I took the jeep with me and gave it to DVA Auto Shippers to handle the sale.The vehicle is at the shipping company, sealed and ready for delivery. It's quite hard for me to sell it in person because I'm 71 yo and age gets you eventually. But with DVA Auto Shippers you'll get 5 days for inspection and if you're interested in purchasing it, send me your full name, shipping address and phone # so I can have them to send you an invoice, meaning more details about how they work. Also you are not obligated to buy it, no pressure..Please see the picture attached in this email!!

Be very aware that DVA Auto Shippers also provided a PDF with specifics on how to wire money including a phone number for their financial department and all kinds of bogus claims of 100% money back guarantees. These people are dangerous - be aware.
