I was in a private Facebook group called Schnauzer_puppies ?? _ in need of a new home. Dwane posted she had puppies for sale so I private messaged her on Facebook messenger to find out more. I asked questions about the dog and she appeared to have all the right answers. The dog was $700 and she lived in Fargo, ND. She told me the deposit was $400. After further researching and asking questions, it seem legit and I paid the deposit. She then gave me her phone number and address. Then a day or two later she asked me for the remainder because the original Zelle account was not giving her access and she needed to process my papers. So I give her the remaining, $300. I think we at all set. On Saturday, she send me a text claiming major health issues with the dog and asking me for more money and I said that I didn’t have it And offered to talk directly with the vet for any health related payments. She the started asking me for Amazon gift cards to pay the vet. At this point, I told her no and asked for my money back. She said she would return it but didn’t. I attempted to request it from one of the Zelle accounts I paid to and it was rejected. I have all my communication with her on my phone along with a screen shot of the name of the group.
