I was looking for job on a reputable website and came across a job as a quality inspector working from home. I applied for job and was phone interviewed shortly after. I received a email and called that I received job. I filled out the new hire requirements such as tax forms, provide id, and direct deposit info. I did a little research on the company beforehand and everything seemed legitimate. I started receiving packages and sent out per instructions for over a month and they constantly stayed in contact with me so no red flags until payday came. I was locked out of employee portal and I wasn't able to get in touch with anyone. Not only did I not have a job or get paid but now my information is compromised. I went log into the state unemployment portal and thats when I noticed a address, phone # , and email that I had never seen before so I called them and evidently the other new scam is people getting your information and trying to file unemployment.
