Company called saying they are "not a debt collection company" and then proceeded to say I owed a debt from 2006 from a bank account. I knew the debt had already been charged off by the bank. I also noted the statute of limitations in my state. They said the statute did not apply and pressed for payment. We discussed giving them $50 per month but they said they needed at least $140 per month. When asked, they refused to provide their address or to send me anything in the mail.
