- Dallas, TX, USA

A woman contacted me and left a voicemail stating she was calling regarding an email previously sent about damage to a rental car that I had rented a month prior. I checked my email and there were two very vague emails that looked "off" - similar to the legit company, Enterprise Rental Car, but the logo wasn't exactly right and the email addresses looked fake. I called the number back and it was generic voicemail. I did not leave a number. I had not wrecked the car and had a receipt from Enterprise stating I owed nothing and turned it in fine condition. Then I received a packet in the mail with again a generic invoice and a picture of a car with a busted tail light. The picture had the license plate blurred and it was taken in what looked like a junk yard. I knew this was fake and threw everything away. I have since gotten another call that I answered and I have received another letter. This is terrible. I bet there are elderly people that would pay this fake bill. I just called Enterprise and verified that I owed nothing and there is no record of damage to the rental car.
