I had a computer virus and paid 1700 to American IT for lifetime service to monitor my computer and install software to block hackers and install firewall software on my computer. Had several problems and continued to call them whenever I had a computer problem. I received a return call from a different company named Eagle Crest International and gave them access to do the exact same thing and clean up my computer which they showed me IP address of foreign hackers. I paid them 1199.99. They showed me on ScamPulse.com that American IT was not a legitimate company and I had been scammed. Turns out that Eagle Crest International is also not a legitimate company and they scammed me as well. Lesson learned not to give any company access to your computer to clean up viruses and install firewall software. Both companies scammed me out of thousands of dollars.

On my computer, 3/9/2019. Sudden message-"sECURITY ALERT! Computer Virus! Do not close your computer! Call the number on the screen to restore your computer to remove virus and restart your computer".

I could not close my computer on my own..So I called the 800 number. I was desperate when my computer stopped working so I let them take over my computer. The cost: $ 199.00 plus another $ 100.00 added on = $ 299.00. I had to make a personal check made out to :

EAGLE CREST INTERNATIONAL FOR $ 298.47. The endorsement on the check indicated a phone number: 434 546-9179. That area code is from Lynchburg, Virginia.

On 3/27/2019 that same company called me back and said they made an error and wanted to refund me $ 299.00 but I would have to go online to my bank account in order for EAGLE CREST to refund my money.

At this point, I refused to go online to my bank account with them and refused the refund. I decided that if I went online to my bank account with them I WOULD STAND TO LOSE A LOT MORE THAN $ 299.00.
