A few weeks later I am charged $79.95 for the earpods, which were only sent to me based on a trial basis.
The credit card was charged without any prior approval by me.
Since I saw this was a fraud, I wanted to return the item and was informed that I can do that to the following address:
223 West Cougar Blvd 412, Provo, UT 84604
The item was received, but I had to call at least 6 times to receive an acknowledgment email (attached). Now I keep on calling them to find out when I will receive a refund. Apparently, they have 30 days to pay. Today I spoke to a representative from India, and then waited for a supervisor for close to 1 hour. Anastasia, the supervisor on the floor, does not have much information for the company. She confirmed the company's address (as above) and name as Gadets Pros. I could not get any names of management either.
Today I was informed that they will only refund 50% since the package was opened. This is the policy, which was never offered in any of the emails or during the calls. I hope to receive $79.95, but I would be surprised to receive anything.
Since then I decided to close my cc account and put a claim with my cc company for fraud. This is the second step, and if I can go to the police I will.
This is not an isolated incident. There are many such emails going around right now. I am sure you have a lot to do!
