I hired Mr. Hickman, according to his hand-written contract, to "1) remove wood floor from foyer 2) install tile in foyer 3) tile fireplace 4) install floor in living room". I paid Mr. Hicks $400.00 which is indicated on the proposal with the balance "due on completion". Mr. Hicks started work on the foyer and never completed that, nor did he come back to complete or start the other jobs. He stopped returning my calls and after threatening to sue him, the last text I received, he said he dealt with the law all the time. When he originally bailed on me, he said he was working a job in Louisiana. That was over a year ago and I'm still wanting to recover my $400.00 down payment.
