This ride is a ripoff, the balloon only takes you up about 25 ft and you're going to stand in line and wait for 2 hours to do that I paid $141 and I could have got higher standing on the roof of my single wide trailer. Don't waste your time.

In October of 2020 I saw advertised on Facebook an event for viewing hot air balloons. You could also purchase tickets for a tethered balloon ride. At the time I only purchased the car parking pass as it was a little pricey for us at the time to do the balloon rides. The time for the event came and we got notification that the event had been cancelled due to high winds. The event was rescheduled for the weekend of my daughter's birthday in March 2021. As time got closer for the event we decided to go ahead and purchase the tethered balloon ride for two of us. The day before I checked on the Facebook page and as far as I could tell the event was still happening. However I happened to see a comment on one of the posts for the event from someone saying they had contacted the Homestead/Miami Speedway where the event was to be held and they were told there was no event there that weekend and there never had been one on the schedule. This is when I finally had a seed of doubt that this company would ever put on this event. Upon trying to contact the company putting on the event there was no answer at the number listed (after very many attempts there has never been an answer at that number). Finally the event company responded to the many comments saying that the event had again been cancelled and rescheduled due to high winds and everyone would receive an email. How could they do this only the day before when people may be driving long distances just to attend? When asked what was considered high winds they stated anything over 7 mph winds. If this is the case they will never hold the event in South Florida and should refund everybody's money. I emailed them such and was refunded the car parking pass (roughly $30) but not the tethered balloon rides (Roughly $60). I've called and emailed numerous times since with no response. I have since filed a dispute for the cost with my credit card company. I cannot find anything online showing they've ever had a legitimate event. These people are scammers. Do not purchase tickets from them because you may not receive any type of refund and will never see a hot air balloon. Only disappointment for all.
