I was asked if I saw on Fox News about a program called Easylife Grant Program - where you get a stimulus check helping the retired, widow, disabled, unemployed, full/part-time workers, financially with funds through the whole universe and can get up to $250,000 delivered to me and I do not have to repay it back.

Given a link and this agent came on Messenger - Linda McCarthy and she told me This is a Federal Government and Private Grant Foundations issue billions of dollars in grant money to a variety of groups each year. Grants are awarded to individuals each and every day. Grant programs are not loans. You decide how much you need. As long as the amount is lawful and you meet the Foundations’and government Agencies’ requirements, the money is yours to keep and never needs to be repaid. Grant money is non-taxable and interest-free. Grant programs do not require a credit check, security deposits or co-signers, you can apply even if you have declared bankruptcy or have bad credit. You as a taxpayer, U.S. Citizens and Canadian Citizens UK Australia, and so on are entitled to apply for this money. This program is based on helping to pay Medical Bills, Buying a home, Salesman Starting their Own Business, Go to school, Teacher’s, Retired Teachers, with Seniors old and Retired people

I told her that I was busy at the time and I would get back to her - big mistake - I googled the Easylife Grant Program and saw that it was a "scam" and told her the next day I was NOT interested and not to use any information that I may have given her - she was quite persistent but I just ignored her.

Today spent most of the day reporting her to Facebook as I feel she is breaking their rules and hopefully they can do something about people like her.

What really bothers me is that someone used a friend of mine to message me through Instagram but turns out it was not my friend - don't be fooled by these "scammers". Do NOT respond to them even if you think its a friend.

My cousin asked me on Facebook Messenger if I had hard of easylife grants program. (My cousin is deaf, so I could not call him to verify.) So I clicked on the link he gave me: https://m.me/vanessaduncan.0123. My cousin said he just got $50,000. This Vanessa Duncan texted a lot of information about the grant. I sent a photo of my drivers license so she could verify my info. I was approved for a grant. Then she provided a chart where if, for example, I sent $30,000. cash through Fed Ex or UPS, in 2 days I would receive $3,000,500. I said in my small town my credit union had to order the $30,000. (which I have in my savings account) and it would take a week. That part was true, but now I believe it's a scam. There were grammatical errors in Vanessa Duncan's text messages to me. My cousin kept asking me through messenger if I had applied, was I getting the money, etc. He also had some grammatical errors, which is not like him. I believe he was impersonated. He lives in Canada, so I cannot go in person to ask him. I will not be sending any money.

The first message came from a facebook friend I don't talk to much but it was in the language she would use. I also received a couple grants so it fit with what was going on. It told me someone would message me about the grant. It was very professional and seemed legit until I tried to first look at her profile which could not be accessed. I filled out the app, which I am super pissed about. It asked for my drivers license # and last 4 of social which I gave. Then she asked for my drivers license over messenger and that is when I stopped.
