eAutoClassic Traders Reports & Reviews (1)

- Antioch, TN, USA

They advertised a 1957 Mercedes 220S Cabriolet through Craigslist and autoexplosion.com for $14,700. Site acts as an escrow provider, securing the transaction between seller and buyer. Initially, they advertise that the buyer only pays after receiving the item, but then the buyer has to wire the full amount into "an escrow account" and buyer will get money back after 10 days if not satisfied with the product.

The references they send out are fake, linking to one page htlm sites that list them as a safe website. Examples:

http://txdmv-portal.com/txdmv/dealers-portal/motor-vehicle-dealers/7/ --- this site has links to the actual Texas DMV.org site but if you index it you'll see that there is only one html page

http://us-aussiedeals.com/aussies-deals/motor-vehicle-america-review/index-eAuto... --- same story, one page created to create some online credibility

http://rvs-forums.com/rvforum/forum/index/eAutoClassic%20Traders-thread-212333.h... --- one page only, but looks legit as the have a link to http://www.rvforum.net/ - but notice how the address changes to a legitimate site

There is no ScamPulse.com entry for this company, when asked they said ScamPulse.com is too expensive. They used an account with Citibank in New York for the transaction.
