It’s sad that we are in a bad way and this happens. They got me but after I bought the gift cards I did not send them the information. I have the gift cards but I need the money in my account to make house payment, electricity, and those thing. How stupid I was to note figure this out before I bought the cards and deposited the cashier check.

I have gotten 2 separate packages. Return address is different and checks are from 2 different banks. I wish it was real but my gut told me NO. I was always taught " if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is". I was right. These jerks need to be stopped. They target people struggling to get by. That's wrong

We just received the same set up for different amounts of money $$1,973.49 / $1,600. We checked the bank routing number on http://www.routingnumber.com/ and found out that it is an invalid number. Our presumption is that you submit the check, buy the cards and give it to them. The check bounces and you are out $1,600.

i got that same one as the first person did they sent me a check for 2,432.27 and i had no idea it was fake till now thank god i did not do any of it or deposited it in to my account and that is very messsed up how they do that they got my hopes up on having money for me and my son who dont have money at all how can they do that to people i hope they get bustedans thanks for braking my s0ns heart we now once again have no money

It came USPS Priority Mail.

Included was a cashier's check for $2,432.27 with my name on it. Also included was a letter about the "Ebay/Walmart Survey Program" with instructions to follow. First, confirm receipt of the package and deposit the check into my account. Then, buy $2,000 worth of gift cards from a select group of local stores. Third, complete their survey of questions and include pictures of the purchased gift cards with the purchase codes scratched off. And last, I get to keep the remainder of the money ($432.27) and would be given a bonus on the "next assignment".

First received a text from a random number stating I was accepted by a job I applied to for Walmart/EBay survey program. Then the next day I received a letter in the mail that was in a USPS Priority Mail Envelope. The letter included a Fake check for $1967.80. The letter has Confidential stamped acrossed it. Nothing about the text nor the letter make any sense especially when I never applied for anything like this so please Becareful if you receive anything like this and remember if it is to good to be true then it is definitely is not legit.

Recieved a text asking me to be a secret shopper. I recieved a package a month later with a photocopied paper saying Ebay/Walmart Survey Program Instruction Letter and a check for $2,436.47 asking me to buy $2,000.00 worth of ebay gift cards at a list of stores and the rest of the $ was my compensation. It gave me 2 days to complete this task which is NOT enough time to allow the bank to check and make sure if it is real or fake. They also ask you to open the gc and peel the silver scratch off area and take a pic of the front and back of the card. So they not only get away with the $ from your bank but they also get the $ on the gift cards! They even use real checks from actual bank accounts... please DO NOT BE FOOLED.

I received a certified one page letter and a cashier's check made out to me from wells fargo bank for $2,383.17 and the luckiky I received it on a sunday so in the letter it instructed me to cash the check at "MY" bank, which I do not have one, & proceed w/assignment " EBAY GIFT CARD ASSIGNNENT" go to stores that sell Ebay gift card such as walgreens target, CVS, Kroger ETC.. on and on in increments from $50 to $500 as long as it was $2000 worth scratch the silver area off on the card send them the pic of the card and the # scratched off. Front and back pics of the card. Said send via email I enclosed and send pics through text at the other # I enclosed. The letter said you are NOT to make the bank cashier or anyone aware u were carrying out an evaluation, they wanted it completed no later than 2 days after check is received by myself.. the name that the check came from the actual check was "Interlock Risk Financing Fund of IIC underneath that sais IRFFIIC address is 150 fayettville st suite 300 Raleigh, NC 27601.vdate 11/20/19 check# 81886 made out to me for $2,383.17 from wells fargo bank, I cant make the whole signature out, it definitely looks like the 1st name could Daniel BW and last name may start with an "L" maybe 5 or 6 letters long, I took the check directly to wells fargo and told them what was going on and that I was quite suspicious and the did reaffirm it was s fake check, kept the paper and the check and sent me on my way with copies

They sent me a text and asked me if I would like to be a mystery shopper, I said send me info. They then text me stating I would get a package, I got a package about two weeks later with a check for $1967 and they wanted me to purchase Ebay cards from Walmart, Target and a few other store, which I did not. I Googled and seen that this was a scam. I contacted WELLS FARGO bank who is on the check and they wanted me to email a copy of the check, I told them I could fax it because my scanner was down, they said it must be emailed and I asked her I can fax it, then you can scan to an email. She was no help. The check was from WELLS FARGO BANK in SAN FRANCISCO,CA 94104, but the person the check was from, was from HI-POWER CYCLES, LLC 21122 NORDHOFF ST. CHATSWORTH,CA 91311.

THIS IS A TRUE SCAM, please do not respond to this scam, be careful out there.

just so you know I Vesely this is mail fraud and a temp to steal money from unsuspected victims like me. But with all the news reporting scams I double checked at my bank though the letter tells me not to. Once it said not to check I went ahead and checked and the check cannot be verified so obviously I never contacted them either by email to say I even received it I wanted to check if the check was good first. Then I decided to look online and see if there were any scams and there were so this is all the information I have to give you the letterhead , The tracking number where came from. The return name address of Linda Woods which could just be a name and address that’s real but also pulled from my phone book a scam. Just like phone calls I receive daily five times a day on scammers using her phone numbers to call me.

Anyways good luck in finding them and Prosecuting them and throwing them in jail!

Fortunately I did not fall for it, as these scams are well-known. Instead of alleging that one would act as a secret shopper for Walmart, which actually posts that it does not hire secret shoppers, this scammer alleges that one is evaluating any business that sells gift cards: Walgreens, Target, CXVS, Kroger, Vest Buy, Safeway, Rite Aid, Dollar General, 7 Eleven, Kmart Staples, Game Shop, Speedway, gyft, Vons, SEARS, etc.). They instruct you to deposit the $2468.07 cashiers check from Canvas credit union, keep $468.07 for yourself, and spend the rest on gift cards in any denomination, They then want you to scratch them off and photograph then as proof that you've done that. They offer a $200 bonus for doing it today. Failure to do so within two days will prevent one from getting future assignments,
