Type of a scam Employment
They claimed in their first email that the company wouldn't be withholding Federal or State taxes and that tax issues would have to be handled by the employee. The rest of the questions were pretty simple and innocent though, so I sent my response.
I work a full time job and I had to wait till I got home to do research on these companies. I went to the website link they provided on the email and their home page looks pretty professional, until you try to click any of the links on it. It's all a front. They took stock images from google and threw them into a web home page. Nothing functions. I looked onto their Linkedin profile and you can tell their logo for their company image was photo shopped onto a stock image. And for a company that professes 24 years of experience, they only have 5 employees listed (whose profiles are hidden). Also, the email company address did not match the address provided on the photo shop sign on linked in.
The second email really set off alarms as they started asking stereotypical scam questions like "are you accustomed to handling huge amounts of money in your account?" and "Which bank do you use?" No company should be asking about personal cash flow or your personal finances.
The last red flag of this whole thing was that they never called me. The only contact they had with me via phone was through short two to three word text messages.
