Me: "Hey Linda! I'm well, how are you doing? Are you still at UR?
Account: "Yeah am doing great, good too hear you doing okay as well and Did you also receive a letter from EDA in your mailbox?"
Me: "What'd EDA?"
Account: "It's the Economics Development Administration (EDA) Its a give back money grant offer from the Economics Development Administration agency to help people maintain the standard of living, I thought you have heard about it already."
Me: "Oh no, I haven't heard about it. Hmm I don't think I've received a letter. What's it regarding?
Account: "I got $50,000 from them delivered to me by Fedex at my door step. They are helping people (the youths, retired, disabled and old). Do you know how to check if you are also eligible for this winnings?"
Me: "Oh wow!"
Account: "Yeah I got this money delivered to me on my doorstep" "Do you know how to check if you're eligible?"
Me: "Oh wow how?!"
Account: "Here is the claim agent number +1 (325) 648-5594 text him with your name that you want to apply for the ongoing winnings...I pray to God you are also eligible."
Me: "How's UR going? Who was hired for Bill's position?" "??" "You there?"
Account: "Yes I"m here I was talking to with someone here"
Me: "So wow did the $50K come all in cash? Or gold?"
Account: "I got the money from them in cash"
Me: "I'm surprised you didn't post about this on Facebook"
Account: "Have you text the agent?"
Me: "Give me a call real quick? There's something I need to tell you first"
Account: "Okay"
I called the number the account sent and it's a text message only number. This is absolutely infuriating. To try and take advantage of people at a time like this. These people should be stopped. The account has a number of followers, many of whom will be confused and may give personal information. I've reported the account on Instagram and blocked it.
